I didn’t get to do much of my sketching for #SketchbookSundays this week, as I was pretty much laid out flat by the flu. I’m feeling much better now, so I am extending the exercise for another week and seeing if I can make my characters for the graphic novel I am illustrating more streamlined.
In case you missed last week’s exercise, I am using ‘Simplified Anatomy for the Comic Book Artist’ by Christopher Hart. I have also found ‘Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy: The Ultimate Reference Guide for Comic Book Artists’ by the same author extremely useful. The aim for this week will be to complete a turn around model sheet for one of the main characters in a simplified style.
