Hi everyone, just thought I’d pop in and post a progress update on my current projects!
Oil Painting
The Victorian Animals series is very nearly finished, with just the final details on a few paintings to go!
Now that the Victorian Animals series is nearing completion I am looking towards my next project! I have been posting updates on the planning process over on my Patreon, and will hopefully be starting the new series early in 2020.
Illustration
My Wizard of Oz Illustration Project is now well into the planning stage, I am starting to create more refined character designs and am exploring different looks for the characters in watercolour and coloured pencil.
Here is my first test design in watercolour for the Scarecrow:

2020 Calendar – My Tiny Inktober: Twelve Months of Tiny Native New Zealand Birds
I made a calendar with twelve of my favourite inktober drawings for 2019! I used the calendar creation at lulu.com, so you can find the listing there. Here is a preview of the layout!

- February – White Fronted tern
- March – Takahē
- April – Fantail
- May – Tomtit
- June – Kiwi
- July – North Island Kokako

- October – Erect-Crested Penguin

Out and About
Finally, on Tuesday I attempted a live stream from the zoo. It was so much fun to hang out there and chat to viewers while drawing animals! However the sound was very distorted so I will be making a few tweaks and hopefully next time it will be easier to hear what I am saying!
